Precision Plus: Announces new director of education and outreach
Precision Plus, a leading provider of advanced precision machined solutions in southeastern Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the hiring of Barry Butters as the new Director of Education and Outreach. Butters will play a vital role in furthering Precision Plus's commitment to empowering its employees with the tools and training needed to succeed.
As Precision Plus continues to grow and expand its operations, investing in developing a highly-skilled workforce continues to be at the forefront of the company's mission. The role of the Director of Education and Outreach is fundamental in ensuring that Precision Plus continues to equip its employees, youth apprentices, and interns with the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving industry.
"The entire team is excited to welcome back Barry Butters as our Director of Education and Outreach. Originally leading our pioneering efforts from inception in 2013 to 2015, Barry's background as an outstanding math educator, administrator, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) instructor provides him an excellent foundation to lead our internal training efforts, and external outreach programs", says Michael J Reader, President and Owner of Precision Plus. "We felt it critically important to continue our investments in our workforce, recruiting and development efforts with the addition of Barry to our growing team. We are only as good as our team members, and Barry will help strengthen our entire team.
Butters was the first Director of Training and Education at Precision Plus and returns with a wealth of expertise. With his extensive background in education, precision machining, and a proven track record of fostering talent, Butters will, once again, spearhead the continued development and implementation of the innovative training programs at Precision Plus that he started back in 2012. In addition, Butters will collaborate closely with internal teams, subject matter and industry experts, educational partners, and local community members.
"I could not be more excited to return to Precision Plus as Director of Education and Outreach, especially at one of the most pivotal moments for the company", says Butters. "As Precision Plus continues their workforce development initiatives, which Mike J Reader began in 2013, we plan to continue to offer an experience for young people to see precision machining and manufacturing in general as a great career opportunity."
With the addition of Butters as the Director of Education and Outreach, Precision Plus is well-positioned to continue to take its education programs to new heights. This past February, Precision Plus received the Special Award for Investing in the Next Generation from the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce at the annual Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards.
